Last updated: 22 August 2026

GoalKick is a football game. You can play it entirely offline, and when you play online it connects to our matchmaking server so it can pair you with another player. This page explains exactly what that involves. In plain terms: there are no accounts, no sign-up, no email, no passwords, no payments, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking.

Playing offline collects nothing

A single-player or same-device match never contacts our server and sends no data anywhere. Everything below applies only when you choose to play online.

What we collect when you play online

  • A display name you choose. It is shown to your opponent and on the match record. Pick anything you like — it does not have to be your real name.
  • An anonymous device ID. The first time you play online, the game generates a random identifier on your device and stores it there. The server knows you only by this random value; it is not linked to your name, email, phone, or any personal identity.
  • Match results and a skill rating. The outcome of your online matches (score, win/loss, and a numeric rating) is stored on the server, tied to the anonymous device ID above.
  • Your IP address — only to connect the match. Like any online game, connecting requires your network address. We use it, in the moment, to pair you and to route the match's traffic (directly between the two players where possible, or relayed through our server when a direct connection cannot be made). During a direct match your IP address is shared with your opponent's device, because that is how the two devices reach each other. We do not store IP addresses in our database alongside your name or history; they are held only transiently in server memory while a match is being set up and played.

What we do not collect

No real name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or payment information. GoalKick has no ads, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics, tracking, or social-media SDKs.

Why we use it

Solely to run the game: to find you an opponent, to connect the two of you, to play the match, and to keep your results and rating so the game can show them. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

How long we keep it

Your name, anonymous device ID, and match history remain on the server so your rating persists between sessions. IP addresses are not retained after the match they connected. You can ask us to delete your record at any time (see Contact); because the identity is a random value on your device, clearing the app's data on your device also detaches you from any future association with that record.

Who operates the service

GoalKick and its matchmaking server are operated by BitPointer. The server runs on a rented virtual machine from a hosting provider that processes network traffic on our behalf; it is not given your data for its own purposes.

Children

GoalKick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The only personal-ish item involved is a display name you choose yourself.

Changes to this policy

If we change what the game collects, we will update this page and its “last updated” date. As the game develops, details may evolve; the commitments above — no accounts, no ads, no trackers, no selling data — will not.
